well, first.... i learned to spell.... "wat" is actually spelled.... WHAT... and also, the word "chating" is actually spelled CHATTING..... then, i learned that sentences should have structure... subject, predicate.... that sort of thing... verbs are good things, too..... so, i would have to say i started chatting at about the age of 13 or 14 when i had a good handle on the language so that other people could understand me.... it really helps to convey a point.....

Well the internet wasnt available to most homes until 1994 and that was my graduation year from High School! lol so I was 19. But for my children, I will not allow online chatting until their teens.
