sometimes ppl give their children the most ridiculous names. I'm not talking about a common name or over used name,but the kind of name that gets your attention and makes you say, "what the.....?" what is the worst, or most annoyingly strange name one of your family/friends named their child? (in your opinion).

Actually, the most annoying think to me is when parents have twins of the same gender and name their children the same name, just with different spellings. For example, Catherine and Katherine, John and Jon.

Oh good question. I think the most ridiculous names are those that are made up of taking half the mother's name and half the fathers name to make a compound of the most ridiculous (unique) name on earth.
For example a friend of mine and her partner named their child Sujoy. The poor little git has to survive through school and adult life.

I lived in Hong Kong for a while, the first names where sorta funny, Beethoven Wong, Apple Tan, etc and grown men called Albert Hall and Walter Wall, Teresa Smith who married and changed her name to Teresa Green!

My family all have reasonable normal names except my brother and I-we're Candy and Andy (not Candace and Andrew). The rest are:Nicole, Cathy, Zachary, Brent, Dalton, Joanna, Jimmy, Daniel, David, Sue, Carol,Landon, Logan, Matthew, Sarah, and Kathy. So, we're pretty normal.

I think it is weird to give a common name but change the spelling to something funky. Like the name "Makayla" is pretty popular but there are now a ton of spellings. Micaela is hard for me to get.
