I know it's early to be thinking about this, but I'm working on some Christmas repertoire for one of my bands. I love Christmas songs and have an embarassing collection of hip and not so hip Christmas albums by all sorts of artists.
Can you tell me -
1. what your famous Christmas song is and
2. if you know of any new or unusual Christmas/Holiday songs

You know what for it's just folklore because I'm not religious but I love them:
Rudolphe the Red-nose reindeer,
Let it snow,
Have yourself a merry little X-Mas,
As for unusual X-mas songs, we have them where I'm from in the West Indies, but they are a little different because they're plain religious but backed up with typical instruments like percussions (tom tom...). It's just great! That's why people religious or not, like to sing them.

I LOVE Christmas music!! I'm one of those freaks that starts playing it the day after Thanksgiving.
My favorite OLD Xmas songs: "Merry Christmas Darling" by the Carpenters OR "Little St. Nick" by the Beach Boys
My favorite NEW(er) songs: "All I Want for Christmas is you" by Mariah Carey OR "O Come O Come Emmanuel" by Rebecca St. James
Unusual/funny XMas song: Cheech and Chong's "Santa Claus and his old lady" dialogue. Check it out!
