Conservatism is a movement, right wing is used to described the most extreme fundamentalist positions within the movement. The same is true of Liberalism with left wing being the most fundamentalist among them.

You can be conservative in your views without being fanatical or extreme right wing. Another common mistake is that Conservative and Liberal are political positions owing to particular party affiliation. This is not true, you do not have to be Republican or Democrat to be conservative or liberal.

A conservative aims at keeping in place some long cherished social, political and economic arrangements. Basically: the nuclear family as the basic social unit, a centralized government, and taxation that favors local industrial elites. Conservatives give religion a key role to play in gluing together a society. In order to achieve this, conservative recognize the there are other perspectives and are willing to engage in debate, dialogue and compromises.
Right-wing is the conservative who grows disillusioned with dialogue and debate as he/she considers such social interactions a waste of time and resources. Therefore, the right wing-er preferes to use of force rather than consensus in order to implement laws that are not bad in themselves. The military remains the most important destination of public funds in the eyes of a right-wing.

Not much. I consider myself "conservative" and I use that word. A liberal is likely to use the word right wing because they think it sounds scary. They also call us trolls and cons.

conservatism falls on the political spectrum as being right of centre. However, you can continue on that spectrum to the extreme right-wing to fascism. Right-wing describes all political ideologies right of centre, whilst conservatism is a particular example of it. Therefore it is correct to say "conservatism is right-wing", but not necessarily correct to say "right-wing is conservatism".

Conservatives: Smaller government, tighter control on spending....less spending on social needs, more spending on defense, "leave my values alone, I'll leave yours alone.", strictly follow societal norms, desires less taxes.

Right-Wing: Larger, more intrusive government in the name of "national security", out of control spending on military programs, more concerned about morality than reality, desires to force their views on the whole country, desires less taxes only for the wealthy in the vain hope it somehow "trickles down" to the rest of us.
