It may cause heavier flow; very heavy exercise may cause hemorrhage... so my advice is to take it easy. If you're all right, you can go more intensively next month.

I go to my dancing classes first day every month. Also, make sure you're well packaged; exercise may displace some of the equipment, and the result may be messy.

Absolutely fine.

I do the same stuff when I'm having a period as I do every day. Running, yoga, whatever.

The stuff about don't excerise, don't wash your hair and all that are just old wives tales. They've been proved to be hogwash. Do whatever you feel like (as long as it's legal!).

i hope your grandma didnt tell you this sort of stuff! i heard in some culture your not allowed to go to church if you got your period! or you cant take a shower tell your period has stop! ewww

yes it is great to. It helps your craps when you exercise. Although you might not feel like going on your first day, it is excellent to!
