In my business, I am very often bent over forward and, well, violated by my customers. Home Depot has a dandy machine the will do the same thing. They call it the Automated Rectal Intruder 2000. My thought is, should I simply cut to the chase, as it were, and invest in one. Renting is an attractive option ( less cash tied up) but the time spent cleaning the unit before return is considerable. They are SO fussy about that. If I buy it, then I can depreciate the cost over 5 years. What do you think?

I've heard that if you f*ck it or feed it, it's cheaper to rent it.

More than likely and depending a little on which state you're in you'll have more options to absorb the cost of purchased equipment than rented equipment. Even fully depreciated equipment can service your business or be sold off if things go poorly for business. If there's a way you can afford to purchase the equipment without making dangerous sacrifices you're allways better off buying.

Pretty much, buy your own. I mean, you wouldn't want to share a rectal thermometer with others, why would you want to share the Automated Rectal Intruder 2000 with others?
