Don't give up, you are no way too old and the more life experience you have the better you are likely to be at the job. These qualities will go in your favour with unis and employers in the future. Check what education you need and if you need to do any further study before you apply. Also check out open university courses which might suit you better as you have young children. Go for it.

I'm 22, I don't think that I'm old, 22 is hardly even grown up, especially when thinking about a career - seriously how many of you 22-23 year old friends are in a career they want to stay in for life or at least more than 5 years?
If you want to train as a social worker go for it, if it's what you want it will definately NOT be a waste of time.

Good luck :)

I'm training to be a RN at 27 after 2 years in the Army and doing everything from working in a factory to delivering pizzas. I have 3 kids at the moment - 6, 5, and 1 year old. Don't let them be an excuse because it's for the betterment of you all, I know from experience.

A friend of mine went back at 45 to become an RN and is training to be a Nurse Anesthetist which are in the 150K - 200K a year kind of job. If her story tells you anything its that you're never too old to go back to school to better yourself :)

At 22 you have an ocean of tomorrows ahead of you. I know, at your age, a 3 year course seems like a lifetime, but if you don't do it, you'll still be here in 3 years' time wishing you had taken the course.

If it's what you want to do for life, DO IT! You're never too old.

You're not too old. A friend of mine became a social worker at age 33, after having spent the years before as an actress. You abosolutely can do this, if you want to.

dont be silly - in fact i would say that its too young, even though most people get their degree in their twenties. The nature of the work requires more than just an educational experience - it requires life experience. Family life is not black and white, it is full of grey, and maturity brings the gift of discernment. Have your family, and grow as a woman, a mother and a citizen. Then you will be better prepared to understand other families and make mature decisions on their behalf.

Pls don't give up, it's a sacrifice that u'll enjoy making in the end.
Think about the diffrence u'll make

Think about people who looked forward to you
Especially your children
