One is on the screen and I use the mouse, the other is a push button type thing, they work independantly of each other. Why do I have 2? Is one better than the other? Or do I jsut turn it up really loud?

Ok. Basically these two volume controller have different purpose. The one on your speaker just enable you to adjust the volume on your speaker while the one on your screen controls the volume by using a program. You have to know that speakers can also be used for other devices and without volume controller that would not be flexible. The ability to have two volume controller provide you more flexibility on the maximum amount of volume and range. For example, if you turn the volume to the max on the speaker, slight configuration on your screen volume will have drastic effects. meanwhile lowering down your volume on the speaker will ensure a better control over the volume.

Usually, the speakers you have, have a volume control.

If you are using Windows there is also a Volume Control program. If you see more than one instance of it on your Task bar that means it is running more than once. Close them all until you see just one.

You should be able to use either one to control volume. Try the one that works best for you.

Best Wishes and have fun but be careful.

When you say push button, is that on your keyboard or on your speaker? If its a keyboard button, it's just a shortcut to the the one on the screen, if it's on your speaker, it only controls the speaker, in which case it will have a slightly different effect. The best way to use them effectively is to experiment with them.
