I went into a website called circuitmicro.com to buy a laptop, and filled out an application for credit on June 8th, 2006. It was approved. They have taken over $400.00 out of my bank account and have never sent me the product. I have tried everything humanly possible to contact them with absolutly no response. What can I do?

Contact your local police dept. Print everything and take it to them, if you live in a smaller town, go to the closest bigger city. They have people whos job is to do just this. Also, print their report from the BBB and take that with you. In addition, contact the police dept in which the company is located. Youre probably not the first. Hope this helps. Alos I forgot. Tell your bank. They will press issues with the party whom took it if you suspect fraud. They have an obligation to do so. Dont let them blow you off.

Report it as fraud to your bank, have them credit your account and let them go after the bad guys. You may think you're liable because of the credit app but trust me the bank has much more effective ways to get your money back. Did you sign a bill of sale (a digital online signature?) that still won't matter, but it could be their argument. At the very least getting your bank involved will more than likely get you the equipment you want.

Oh boy, just hope they are in the US, if they are, Call your local state Attorney's office. There are several laws protecting you. If they are outside the country, you maybe out of luck.
