Let's first define Friendship.
"Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behaviour between two or more social entities."
So whether this be boy-girl, boy-boy, girl-girl, hummingbird-fuchsia, the focus should be not in whether or not is possible, because as long as co-operative supportive behavior exists, it is. The focus should be on whether the particular boy and girl in your question can create this definition within themselves, without ulterior motives.

There should be nothing against it and I've had some pretty good ones with boys that I was not in love with. However, it is hard to keep up as soon as either of us has a boyfriend / girlfriend.
The influence comes from both sides. If he has a girlfriend I wouldn't ask him to go dancing or to go shopping with me.
And in the other case...when I have a boyfriend and I ask an other guy to go dancing with me...well, that just doesn't work, don't you think ?

There's nothing wrong with it... there's things you can do with a girl friend you can't with a boy friend though. Especially if you have a boyfriend/significant other. I have a really good male friend, I feel nothing for him in that way, he's just a friend. You can be friends with someone of the opposite sex, it is possible.

Hi there
I think that they 'r great, boys touch subjects that we girls always try to avoid coz we are concervative. There 's alot that you can learn by hanging out with guys, you just gotta know that they are your friends, and don't look too deep in the friendship....if you friends with guys....at high school level.......you get all the gossip before most chicks...coz guys are nosey but they d oit undercove....I've learnt that.
love

It's possible. Three of my closest friends are women, and I would never cross that line with any of them; it would ruin a good thing.
The best thing is you don't have to try to impress each other. IT's not like dating where you keep worrying if you're gonna say or do the wrong thing. There's no pressure.

Whats the issue? Surely everyone has friends of both genders.
Thinking about it... most of my friends are female. Not by much... I jst seem to know more females than males.
