1. You're new! Observe (personalities and work process).
2. Recognise that as a manager, you are only as good as those working under you. Thus, tell them they are important, and really mean it.
3. Listen attentively (personal needs and work related) and assist when you can.
4. Suggest, seek their opinion when making changes. If it's gonna be your way (after listening to them), explain why you are proceeding with yours and seek support (and assured it is subject to review after trying).
5. Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be “hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise.”

fire the ones that need to be fired ,make sure they are all working with the right ss# ,are not illegal and hear any complaints that need to be heard ,last but not least make sure my employees are happy and let them know if there is ever anything they want to talk about with me will be confidental and i will do all i can to make them comfortable at work . i wish i could have it like that at my job our supervisors dont want to hear it .sad

Make sure the employees are happy, make sure the customers are happy talk to the customer and find out what we are missing, talk to the employees and find out what we are missing and create incentives fore employees
