First, I wouldn't say he is a hero and I wouldn't say he is on the right track. But I would say he is doing a decent job in a tough position.

Now as far as MURP's ridiculous, child-like comments, think on this. If it was all about oil, why is oil at almost $80 a barrel and why is Iraq at pre-war levels of production still? By the way retard, Afghanistan doesn't have oil, never has and never will. Sudan's border along the Red Sea is actually adminsitered by the Egyptians and neither Somalia or Sudan produce oil. We have never invaded Sudan or Somalia and when we did go to Somalia it was under a presidential order from President Clinton in an attempt to support a UN mission to stop genocide and keep food coming in from international aid agencies. It was also President Clinton's sorry pathetic weak *** politics that pulled us out prematurely and gave the current leading assholes within al-Qa'ida a reason to believe we are weak as a nation. We have no interests as far as Somalia and Sudan go other than we don't like or agree with genocide or mass murder, plus we don't want an 1990's Afghanistan again with a radical faction of Islamo-fascists training militants to fly planes into buildings.

Grow up, get an education and quit believing all the bulls*** hype you hear from the liberal puke left.

No, no, no.

GW Bush is the spoiled kid of a family of oil barons. And, of course, of an old wealthy part New England, part southern (Walkers) family who invested their money well in oil.

So, what do you think this administration's going after: oil, oil, oil - not only the oil wells, but protecting pipelines and roads and seaports to load the oil onto tankers.

Both the Bush family and Cheney have both made much money in the oil industry and it is predicted with these disturbances that oil will reach $100.00 a barrel. It was quiet recently $25.00.
So, in part it is for more oil profits.

I looked at a map a few years ago and predicted (I fear accurately) that the US administration was trying to take effective control of all of the countries across from Afghanistan to the Mediterranean. Not only are there oil pipelines to be protected but once the oil is out of the pipeline it must be loaded onto oil tankers. If they take oil directly into the Arabian Sea they would either have to send the tankers around the horn of Africa or through the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

But, indeed as I look at the map the countries which the US seems intent to invade in Africa (Sudan and Somalia) are both "unfriendly" countries which border the Red Sea! So, perhaps they want to secure multiple routes. Anyone who drives a car knows you need three alternative routes anywhere. And, I believe that they are thinking of invading Africa, as well. Last time they were thinking of invading Sudan and Somalia (which I think they ultimately went into) - that is under the previous Bush in 1992- one major US news channel did a special about Africa. And, indeed, recently CNN devoted an entire week to Africa. This is a way of familiarizing the US public with this concept. This used to be called propaganda in the old days. Of course, Sudan is one of the most oil rich countries itself and backs upon other oil rich areas.

some would say yes. shareholders of companies with military contracts would have a financial interest to say yes.

people who believe in war over diplomacy would say yes.

I think political leaders who want war should be put in a room to fight each other.

leave the children out of wars and make the evil old men who think up wars actually do the fighting.
