No. If it were sectarian the US which is still predominantly Christian would be supporting Lebanese and Palestinian Christians instead of supporting a Jewish state intent on destroying the Lebanese and Palestianians - both the Christians and Muslims. Also, many US orthodox Jews are against the Zionist Israeli state.
Israel was established to protect British interests in the region (see for instance the Zionist movement and the 1914 Balfour declaration) and has apparently continued this role for the US. From what I am told Israel would collapse economically without private and public support from the US. What I know for a fact is that the Israeli governement sends out requests among private Jewish citizens asking for help to protect their way of life.
So, this is basically imperialist wars. Perhaps also an election distraction. Also, Israel looks after western interests in the region. Lebanon has ports on the Mediterranean. Oil must travel on tankers.
So, what are they hoping to achieve? You know the Bush family and Cheney have both made much money in the oil industry and it is predicted with these disturbances that oil will reach $100.00 a barrel. It was quiet recently $25.00.
So, in part it is for more oil profits. And, of course there are the profits to be made in the military-industrial complex (destroy military equipment and make more) and in reconstruction of destroyed countries. But, I believe there is more.
I looked at a map a few years ago and predicted (I fear accurately) that the US administration was trying to take effective control of all of the countries across to the Mediterranean. Not only are there oil pipelines to be protected but once the oil is out of the pipeline it must be loaded onto oil tankers. If they take oil directly into the Arabian Sea they would either have to send the tankers around the horn of Africa or through the Red Sea and Suez Canal.
But, indeed as I look at the map the countries which the US seems intent to invade in Africa (Sudan and Somalia) are both "unfriendly" countries which border the Red Sea! So, perhaps they want to secure multiple routes. Anyone who drives a car knows you need three alternative routes anywhere. And, I believe that they are thinking of invading Africa, as well. Last time they were thinking of invading Sudan and Somalia (which I think they ultimately went into) - that is under the previous Bush in 1992- one major US news channel did a special about Africa. And, indeed, a week or two ago CNN was devoting an entire week to Africa. This is a way of familiarizing the US public with this concept. This used to be called propaganda in the old days. Of course, Sudan is one of the most oil rich countries itself and backs upon other oil rich areas.
God help us, is correct! Some do not deserve forgiveness at this point as they are not repentant and continue to kill.

No, it is a matter of right and wrong. Would you follow a religion if God contradicts himself? Not likely. After eternal commitment to the Jews and an unchanging faith forever, along comes "the new way." They don't completely believe in the same book, for example, do you know any Christians who don't eat meat and milk? Jews, on the other hand, completely reject the second testament. Islam is more similar but their Koran is way off from the original bible in view in some ways but more similar than Christianity on the other. Since they all agree to the first testament being OK, I guess it just shows who is right?

Islam is not fighting Christianity or Judaism !! that is a fact !
Ask the most zealous Muslim, with terrorism tendencies, and he will tell you the same !
Jesus Christ and Moses were holy Prophets of god, just as Muhammad was , no distinction what so ever , according to Islam .
HOWEVER !
Islam and Muhammad ARE NOT HOLY to Christianity or Judaism !! may be because it came after both . Indeed Jesus Christ is not holy to Judaism ( he was cheated by the Rabi's ), perhaps for the same reason !
These wars are for LAND, POWER AND MONEY !!
Make no mistake .....
Politicians have laced them with religious flavourings to make them palatable to the ignorants !!

different books, and the Lord God Jehovah spoke his feelings when the ten commandants were spoken by him about any other "gods" coming before him. Please don't be fooled into thinking everyone believes in the same God. We don't. Jehovah is the one true God, allah is a false god.

That is what Islam is all about:
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

Christianity is unique in that it has no provision for its adherents to engage in warfare. Those ostensible "Christians" who do so ignore the Scriptures and the teachings and example of Jesus Christ himself.
(Matthew 26:52) Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword
(Isaiah 2:4) They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.
(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly
(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

Well, in the name of God, I don't really think any war should happen. It's so stupid, no matter which excuse you have. You can fight for your family; that's your survival. You can fight for a flag or president; for, that's just dumb. You can fight for a religion; for me it's totally unforgetable to God him/herself. You can list whatever reasons; will never convince me. However you want to cal Him/Her, I think there's no forgiveness for these irrational acts.
