hmm there are some softwares for that. but if you use Nero media player, it has that option. u can do it by going to preferences menu. or try Bsplayer. i dont recommend it coz it comes full with spyware stuff so u can try http://www.download.com type some keywords to the search textfield like "video screenshot, video picture" etc. till u find it. good luck p.s windows media player 11 aslo has this option but u can only do it as a clipboard and u can only save an image if ur watching video from a dvd.

Pause it where you want then push print screen twice, that copies the image to your clipboard, then you can paste it in a image editing program, I suggest paint shop pro, it also has its own screen capture settings.
The Ms Paint will also work.

Well, in windows movie makers I just pause the frame, right click on what I want and save as a jpg

play your video when your frame comes up just pause it and then press PRINT SCRN SYSRQ KEYS ON YOUR KEYBOARD.
Now open your Paint package and PRESS CTRL AND V ON YOUR KEYBOARD
The frame you have captured is pasted from your cip-board in to your paint. here you can EDIT it then save it.

2.use print screen (in your keyboard)
3. open photoshop, and "paste" crop using photoshop
