A story I like to thing as my own ugly duckling story....
In school I was teased and verbily abused by people in my standard.
They played pranks on me because I got along with the teachers and the matrics when I was in grade 8 and 9. So my grade 10, 11 was the worst.
At the end of grade 11 when I was in a play and I was just egged, the guy I was "inlove" with came up to me and put his arms around me and whispered...."dont cry Tammy, thats what they want"
(geez, this man knew my name and knew how I was feeling. He even held me and....guess what......He kissed me. My face and costume covered in egg and He kissed me, infront of everyone.)
I dated him the last months of scholl and was then placed in the "popular group"

My wife and I met on the internet when I was a sr and she was a jr in hs. After 6mths of talking on the phone and on the net we decided that we felt something for each other. Later that year, approx 10 mths after we had met, we decided that we needed to meet so I flew from kansas to michigan. When I saw her beautiful face for the first time it was like we had always been together and we were just being reuinted. Everything clicked and was just perfect. After a week stay I had to go back for school and we both cried when I left. A few mths later she flew out here to meet my family and visit a college. After a week she had to go home and again we both cried. It was the hardest thing in the work being away from eachother. I flew up there for her graduation and while I was there I told her dad that I loved her and I would do anything for her and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. He gave me his blessing to ask her to marry me. So on our 1 yr anniv of us realizing that we had feelings for eachother I proposed. On the 2nd anniv of that day we got married and have been married for a little over 5 yrs now.

I was alone at home the only one it seemed without a date to the senior prom. As I sat home depressed I ordered a pizza, 25 minutes later the love of my life was standing there with a pepperoni pizza and a side order of barbeque wings. I said, "How much?" and she said. "these are the house big boy". And it happened...she threw off her hat, came inside and we shared a large pie laughing at the fools with there $500 dresses and $100 rentals. And thats it.
SCFD : I like that story man.

Well, I was never the marrying/long comittment type. In fact, two years ago I was tired of men... And, then, one rainny night, I walked in a cafe and there he was. He was with a friend of mine and I stopped to say hello. After I kissed my friend on the cheeks (that`s what we do in Portugal), he asked if he wouldn`t get a kiss too. So, our friend introduced us to eachother. Later that week, he came to the cafe I hang out in and asked me my phone number. Two days later, he called and asked me out. We became inseperable. A couple of weeks later, he took me to the seaside, came out of the car, handed me a dozen red roses and said: "Do you want to be my girlfriend?". I say Yes!!!
We meet on the 3rd of November 2004, became oficial on the 20th November 2004 and on January 2005 he asked me to marry him... So, we´re getting married in a month (3rd of September) and I can`t live without him.
It`s not an unusual story but it`s my love story and I feel I have met my true soulmate...

Okay, here goes..........
Once upon a time there was a girl named Cinderella.
She lived with her evil stepmom and 3 evil stepsisters.
Stop me if you've heard this one.....
One day Cinderella and her evil stepsisters were invited to a fancy ball at the castle.
Cinderella went to the ball wearing glass slippers she bought at Saks 5th Avenue.
She lost one of the shoes and a handsome prince found it. He searched until he found the owner of the shoe.
He swept Cinderella off her feet and married her.

A little over two years ago my youngest daughter had broken up from a terrible relationship. Her boyfriend was a drunk and very abusive to her. She moved back home with her mother and me. There was an unusual thunderstorm in July 2004 where we live and a freak bolt of lightning went through the wet ground and shorted out our air conditioning compressor. Our insurance company called a local repair service and three servicemen came out the access the damage. One of the three servicemen was a young man that called me 'sir' and was very polite and clean cut. While the other two were looking over the compressor, I talked with this young man (whom I'll call J) and learned he was in the National Guard and was an apprentice at the repair company. It was about this time my daughter came out.. saw the men and went back inside. I asked J if he was married or anything and when he said no, I suggested he call my daughter and ask her out. At first he thought she looked to young but when I told him that she was 21 years old, he told me he would think about it. I didn't think any more about it and the three men continued to work on my conditioner. Later that day the door bell rang and I answered the door and it was J... he stopped by to ask my daughter for a date. That was on a friday.... my daughter and J talked on our front porch but he already had plans for the weekend so he left. But saturday morning, he came back by and told us he cancelled his weekend plans and wanted to go out with my daughter. She accepted and they became inseperable. However, August came and J was required to go to Europe for his summer drill with the Guard. While gone, J called me and asked if he could marry my daughter... he told me that he knew it was fast but he had fallen in love with my daughter and he was having a ring custom made while he was in Europe. I gave him my blessing and when he returned he proposed to my daughter in front on his entire National Guard company. At first they had planned a long engagement but his company was called up to deploy to Iraq. In a quick decision, my daughter and J decided to go ahead and get married before he left so with everyones blessing J and my daughter went to the court house were married by the judge. J's unit deployed to Iraq and was gone for 18 months but while he was gone, my daughter and J continued to write and e-mail each other. J's company returned this past May and as of this writing.... I am expecting my first grandchild by them. Even though they have been married for almost two years, they are still newlyweds and are making memories for the later years... I hope this story was good enough for you.

I have a daughter who has some friends that she had played with since middle school and I thought their father was the man that lived with their mother. Well one day I took all the girls to a nice resturant & they start talking about their dad is lonely and he's such a nice man. I thought this was weird since we just left their house and he and their mother seemed to have a good life. Low and behold that was their stepfather. At the time I had been single for 12 years because I did not want to bring a man in my daughter's life while they were growing up( I have 3 girls ) & I had heard so many stepfather horror stories that I did not want to have happen to us. Now I knew stepdads could be good because mine was, I think I just lucked out. The girls started making a plan to get me to meet their dad & I said NO! Two weeks later I went by my daughters new place to check it out and he came by to check on his girl, neither child knew we were coming by. This guy looked great but my youngest daughter had not turned 18 & was still at home, so I did not want to get involved with a man yet. Well he asked my daughter if I was single and of course all these kids jumped on it. From that point on they hounded us to go out together and each one of us always had an excuse why we could not go out that week. I finally ran out of excuses the same time he did and he called and said lets get the girls off our backs and go out ( he knew mine as well as I knew his kids & they were not giving up). So of course we could not get out of it. The dreaded day arrived & I was looking for an excuse to not go out, he called said one of his girls had wrecked her car and he needed to go and help her,so we canceled again. Thank God! Then right when I thought I was off the hook he called and said " lets just do it tonite, & get it over with,ok?". I thought just kill me now but I said pick me up @ 7. I answered the door and was struck by how goodlooking he was & he said he thought why is this beautiful woman going out with me. He told me earlier he told his brother-in-law " hey I'll be back in a couple of hours ,I have to get rid of this girl the kids want me to go out with & I have ran out of excuses,so I'm going." We went out and have been with each other ever since, as a matter of fact we got married 3 months later. After all these years he still rocks my world & tells me where have you been all my life, and I answer behind the doors where you dropped your kids off to play. Thank God for children.
