is there a meaning to life? or are we just here as a result of many coincidences?

We are all here as a part of the cosmic evolution. There is nothing happening in this universe with out a purpose and meaning. Many things appear to be meaningless because we can not comprehend the inner meanings, which speaks more of our limitations rather than the want of meaning in the object of study.Every individual is born as a part of the continuity, as a result of the deeds and misdeeds of his past life. The form gets reformed through bodily actions associated with intent and purpose, a continuous process by which the soul is cultured. It is a journey from imperfection towards perfection; from falsehood towards Truth and from ignorance towards immortality. This journey covers a series of lives. Due to ignorance it appears as a mere coincidence.

I wonder how many times, "we" have asked this question.

The answer is elusive, but I would think, that the answer also changes based on the perspective of the person answering the question.

In the book, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the "Answer" is 42, but the question was unknown.

Some would argue that we are here to serve God.

Are we here as a great experiment of such immense proportions that we could not fathom it's existence. Could it be God? Could God just be the scientist?

What if you woke up one day, and your entire life was a dream, and you realized you were just a small life form in a pond in some place we could not begin to imagine.

In my humble opinion, we are here in a great search for happiness. Even if we are searching for some unseen being's happiness. Sometimes it's elusive and quite hard for us to grab on to. Other times, happiness surrounds a soul it's entire life.

These days, happiness is fleeting, and we can only hope that the World takes a turn for the better soon, or soon, there will be no one left to answer this great question, and no one left to ask it.

"1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Ge 1:1-2

"17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor comee into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD." Is 65:17-25

We were created by God. Jesus Christ made us Himslef in His image, to live in a holy and peaceful earth. Once sin entered into the world, you have what we have today. Pain, death, and suffering. But He will come again to restore us and take us to Heaven, and He will heal the earth and restore it to its former beauty and peace.

God loves you, and wants you there too.

Blessings

Some believe there are parallel universes that play out every possible course in events.

You just happen to live in this one where humans exist.

Failing that, try this one:

The iron in our blood is only ever made when a star dies. Our bodies are made of the stuff of stars. We are the universe incarnate, trying to understand itself...

The answer to that is probably too complex for our human brains to comprehend. Life is essentially meaningless. You must give it meaning so that you can live out a full life with no regrets.

L = Loneliness (which never has an end)
I = Innocence (that we allways pretend to)
F = Fault (that appeals the impression of being perfect)
E = Evaluation (that never gives a chance to stop thinking)

We are here to try and come to peace with death before we die. To come to peace with death you have to live life right. To live life right you have to get as far away from all the stupid mother F%$#ers on this planet as possible before they suck all the energy out of your body through your god damn eyeballs!!!!!!! ok, I feel a little better.
