First of all lets gets somethings clear. Wireless is a method to access a network. It is not wireless Internet. To set up a wireless network you need the following:

1 wireless access point
1 wired computer
1 wireless computer

Since you obviously want to access the Internet using this you should make the wireless access point a wireless capable router with cable/DSL modem included. Most of these come with the following connection options:

1 connection for the cable/dsl line
2 wireless antennas
4 wired connection ports

Attach the router to the cable/DSL line that you will be using. wire one computer into the router via one of the ports. Start the router and then the computer. Run the installation disk on the computer. This will set things up for your and let you configure the router. You will also need to contact your ISP to get them to active the service to the new cable/DSL modem. During the router configuration make sure you change the default admin password and change the default wireless SSID.

Once you have all of this done you can then take the wireless computer and connect to the wireless access point. Now you can add on security to the wireless connection if you need to. I recommend the following:

1. Disable SSID broadcast
2. WPA or WEP encryption
3. MAC filtering

It is best to make each change in order and test your connectivity between each change.

Get yourself a wireless network adapter, plug it into your laptop and then find someone who hasn't secured their network. Sit outside their house and steal their bandwidth. Free broadband!!
Easy. 10 points please.
