I believe it is ignorant to think that out of billions and billions of planets we are the only one with life on it!

There probably is life on other planets but considering that the nearest star is some 15 million light years away and planets revolve around stars it will take them some time to get to Earth about 15 million years traveling at the speed of light, according to Einstien nothing can travel at the speed of light except light itself, so they will take even longer to get here and that does not take into account the possibility that the nearset star may not have any planets around it that are capable of supporting life. Hope this helps.

Seems like Ive answered this one before but what the hell. Of course there is to think that there are possibly billions of other planets out there in space and not think that maybe a few would harbor life is silly.

There must be life out there somewhere. I think we would be conceited to believe we are the only living things in the universe. The universe is a big place and there is so much we do not know. We do not know more than we know. What we do know is so infinitesimal that in the big picture it is like a tiny speck of knowledge.

life is abundant throughout the cosmos. life will be in places we would have never thought of and under the harshest of conditions. but the odds of finding intelligent life forms are so miniscule that we should hardly think about it. they aint here and they aint comming is what one guy wrote in a song about aliens. i mean because a freak accident killed the dinosaurs and that made room for man to come about. it took many freak accidents to get us here. millions and millions of life forms have come and gone extinct before us and many more will come and go after we are gone. if something intelligent would happen to be out there the vast distance of space would never allow us to find one another anyway. i do believewe will find life in space within the next fifty years but we will never find something you could have a cup of coffee with.

"Also why cant any photo or video footage of aliens ever be proved or is badly shot?"
Yeah, this was fine 30 years ago when video cameras were a bit dodgy, but now everybody's walking around with state of the art digital jobbies attached to their phones you'd think they'd be able to produce a crystal clear film of an alien sometime.

No, we are not alone.
it' would be such a waste for such an extraordinary space out there.
And i don't think we are invaded by other beings, if you take a look of all the ugly and awful things that's happening in this world no one else would want it., lease not anyone w/ superior intelligence anyway.
hven't you notice that all the stories about abductions always happen to red-necks,and people w/out intelligence.
"nuff said"

ofcourse , there may be about 10 billions of planets with different forms of life.
i told u last time there are about 100 billions of planets, and about 10 billions of stars, in this gallaxy, so assuming that all stars, which have the same fussion and fission process like our star i.e sun, and taking all star of the same size as sun, there may be arround 1 billion, and if we consider their birth around the same time of that of our sun, there must be arround 1 million, or 10-20 lacs, so in this galaxy there must be arround 1-2 lacs planets with life like earth, asuming it at 1:10 odds.
and this is in only our gallaxy, there are 1000's of other gallaxies, so multiple it by 1000" , there is life , but we cant interact, till we acheive the speed of light, and then acheive 10 times the speed of light, and then travel at that speed.
