The perfect crime is one that nobody other than the perpetrator knows about.

I reckon so.

For the perpetrator, a perfect crime is one they get away with and have no ill feelings/regrets doing. It's all smiles!

For the victim(s), perhaps from their point of view, one where they don't know its happened.

For an investigator, it would have to be the most meticulous and cleverly executed criminal offence. So clever no one knows about it - not even them!

A perfect crime will satisfy all three criteria. Hence we have a crime that isn't a crime except to the person committing the crime.

Well, it makes sense to me!

That depends on your opinion of a perfect crime?
Do you perfect as in least amount of effort, maximum reward?
Or perfect as in revenge?
Or perfect as in it has a statement, politically, enviorentally, or personally?
Or perfect as in no-one gets hurt?
Or perfect as in the crimanl don't get caught?
In soemones personal opinion, there is a perfect crime, but to the victim, bystander, police, or another individual hearing onthe street it might not be!

Now I know I'm going to cop some crap over this, but supposedly, "God made women from men". Now I seriously think that was a perfect crime.

Yeah, it's called selling insurance. People give you a shedload of cash, and you give them nothing back. Read the smallprint of your average insurance contract, and you'll find that they actually don't pay out for anything.

I mean, most insurance contracts specifically exclude "acts of God"—but isn't that really just a way of saying, "just about anything that might happen to you unexpectedly"? So why did I buy the dumb policy in the first place...?
