I was trying to find a friend of mine that I lost contact with when I moved out of state... couldn't find her name but looked up the guy I knew she was with at the time (i'm sure they still are they have been together for over 10 years). When I found him found out that he was in a band and not just some average little garage band a band doing pretty good for themself they tour and have cds out and all. Since I can't find her the only option is to contact him but I don't want them to think that I am just trying to find them because he is in a band. Am I just being crazy or how should I approach this situation? The only way I can contact him will be through the band site so not telling them I know is not an option.

If she really is a friend and you really do want to contact her for the right reasons then ask through the web page. If you are honest things will work out if not the you will have to deal with it.

you could allways try clasmates.com- alot of peope are registered there, if that does not work try websleuth.com-if all else fails-try sending this bandmember a letter, explaining who you are and what your intentions are, he may be sympathetic, and relay your message.

If the point is her, you ask him, congraulate him on his success, and then only deal with her. If you neglect her to talk to or about him, she'll question your motives.
