For those who are not aware of him, he fronted a band in the 60s called Love who produced some good albums and one all time great album, Forever Changes. I saw him live a couple of years ago, what a dude.

This is the 2nd time in a few weeks I've read sad news about a musical hero.
Forever Changes will always be with us - considering that he thought that record would be his last words to the world, he managed to hang on pretty well.
I was going to see him live and never got around to it. I read he was ill with leukemia. Him & Syd going, it's sad.
"sitting on a hillside, watching all the people die, I'll feel much better on the other side".

Wow, I hadn't heard his name in years. Sid Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd passed away a few weeks ago. That is another great loss to the music world.

Hadn't heard until now. That's a shame, I wasn't up on his music, but he was a good person.

While obviously sorry to hear he died, Love were frankly one of those bands like the Doors whose influence and merit were massively over rated.
