No. And you wouldn't even be close to being the oldest freshman. Many people your age start college after a stint in the military or some life experience. You are probably much better prepared to appreciate the opportunity than "traditional age" students just because you are a bit older and wiser. You may even have a good sense of what is you want to do with your life now that you've seen what life can do to you if you aren't prepared for it.

If you think it is something you want to, do NOT let the age thing slow you down a little bit. Get in there and see how natural it all feels once you fall into the routine.

Definately not! I went straight form A levels to Uni for my BA then I took 6 months out to save and then started my MA, I'm glad that I'm doing it, but sometimes think maybe I should of had a break in between them to get some work experience, cos believe me, a degree means nothing if you have no work xp.
And all my class mates for my MA are quite a lot older than me (ranging from 24-65!) and they seem to have more general knowledge of subjects (which is quite important in my subject - human rights) and a wider range of experience!

So, finally to answer your question - hell no 25 is not too old, there will be all sorts of people of different ages at uni so go for it - it can be fun!!!! well apart from that whole essay writing part :)

It's never too late to learn. 25 is a very good age because you have (hopefully) sorted your late teen problems out somewhat and have some maturity, which is a very valuable commodity in University social life, yet you are young enough still not to be an oddball amongst your slightly younger class mates.

Go for it!

I was 26 when I started. Nowadays people of all ages go to Uni. It is not an issue of age, just a question of what you want to do with your life. If you go for the right reasons, no.

People may decide they want new skills when in their 20', 30's 40's or older. It really does not matter.

But if you are going to Uni just for social reasons - to party - then I think it is too old.

Not at all. I made friends with a lot of mature students when I was at uni. Many much older than 25. If this is about you, and you really want to do it then go for it and good luck!

No, we had a pensioner on my degree course. She passed just fine, so 25 is not too old. It's probably a blessing, as at 25, you should be mature.

I most definitely do not think, that 25 is old period. I'm 34 and i have recently went back to school myself, it has been challenging, but iam slowly but surely getting the hang of it, and i have been out of school for over 10 years. So go for it and good luck.

No, not at all ! 25 is still the right age. I knew a guy who graduated in Law when he was well over 60. He never practiced law but he is a lawyer nonetheless. He wanted "social promotion"... and he got it.
