why do we have to say i love first ????

Reason: Male ego.
Basically, a woman saying it first is immediately branded as cheap,ordinary and it eventually strips off the "chalenge" to conquer a gal in a guys vocabulary.
In a mans' world the rule of courtship is-->guy says it first, gal confirms it second and everybody's happy.

When a man says "I love you" it shows that he is not afraid to be senstive. A woman cherishs the sound of it and the emotion behind it.

maybe because its a show of commitment on the guys part. Its like saying you want to stick around with her and not just have your fun.

Because,maybe they DON'T love you and aren't ready to say it yet. I'm sure if a girl loves you she would be more than happy to say it to you,whenever. Give it time,man,give it time.
