my husband is the sign of cancer, and i am a gemini-we have been together now for eight years-we are opposite-which makes it challenging (which gemini's love ) we get along well, and are sensitive to eachothers needs-we love alot of the same things-like hiking-fishing-tennis-camping-we also enjoy anything that challenges the brain, and makes us think !!
we have our moment's of disagreeing-thats when we debate our options, which is fun.
he is quiet and recluse-and i am a social pup-we work off of eachother.
so i guess the answer would be NO, i do not agree-we are doing just fine.

I'm a cancer. In elementry school, my best friend was a gemini. She stabbed me in the back. In middle school, and had two Gemini friends. One of them stabbed me in the back. I had a friend from high school, and when we started college last year, she stabbed me in the back.
There may be some cancer/gemini couples/friends that get along out there, but I have yet to meet a loyal gemini.

I agree, cause my sister is a Gemini and she didn't like my Partner's cousin and he's a Cancer. She had a major crush on him when she was 11yr sold. Now she's 28yrs old and she hates him.

No, I don't agree.
You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.
What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendent make?
The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.
What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?
For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to.
For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.
Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.
The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
Sun sign horoscopes are absolutely inaccurate to determine compatibility between two people.
