England

England (by "Tyme wear" you mean "Tyne & Wear", the county in which Newcastle is found). England is the country, "Great Britain" is the nation (consists of England, Wales and Scotland). "United Kingdom" is the political unit (United Kingdom = Great Britain PLUS Northern Ireland). Scotland, and to a lesser extent Wales and Norther Ireland, have their own "home" government, but this is an internal arrangement like the provinces of Canada or the states of the USA. To the main world (EU, UN and NATO for instance) "United Kingdom" is the country.

Well the answer is obvious to a moron ENGLAND but what about the county: depends WHEN you were born - if it was before 1970 the county of Tyne and Wear did not exist, all the counties of England and Wales were changed. Prior to the 70's I think Newcastle Upon Tyne was in the county of Northumberland. I am sure a few True Geordies will correct me if I am wrong!

Most people are born without clothes. Perhaps your mother was wearing Newcastle Tyme Wear, though and you came in a rush?

If you were born in England you would have learned to speak Geordie and to write correct English, such is our education system. I suspect you are a Wally ... someone born on or near the Wall.
