They are still finding treasures everywhere--in June they found a new tomb in the Valley of the Kings, which may be the mother of King Tut. Her body was not found, but there were several pieces of jewelry and personal items. Not too long ago, an Egyptian was riding a donkey near the pyramids at Giza, and the donkey's foot broke through the ground--they found an entire city used by the workers who built the pyramids, and they are still excavating. And a little off the subject, if you want to see how some of the Egyptian may have looked in the beginning, go to eternalegypt.org

No. A steel detector in all probability would not do the trick. The tombs in Egypt that have not been got here upon are the two very nicely hidden, or buried under huge quantities of sand. Tombs that have been discovered usually took huge archaeological digs. so as to bypass on an archaeological dig, you'll have helps, investment, factors, and a brilliant style of different issues for it to be felony. i'm additionally extraordinarily constructive there are regulations saying that artifacts ought to be surpassed to the government. you won't get to maintain it. it extremely is one issue to bypass dig up a sea coast in the rustic. it extremely is yet another to dig up significant artifacts from historic previous.
