Water and oil - both are limited for the world population [and the way people multiply, both these scare resources are limited, and you can not produce more]. Then what? Just think it over, and you will find even fort knox of USA gold cannot buy these these scare resources. Third war is not far away.

The yester years wars had been fought for so many absurd reasons like love for woman, greed and at many a times for want of power and authority. As you really pointed out nowadays wars are fought with interior motives like regaining power and position amongst the developed nations and encroaching natural resources. Today it is want of Oil and tomorow it could be Water and who knows the day after it could be want of good air and living. But whatever the intentions be, the War at the end of the day means destruction and innocents losing lives because of the petite want of those developed nations.
