You seem not to be a native speaker. Are you from a communist country?
The proper term is Marxist ideology.
While communist states have fallen in the past few decades, many would argue that those communist states were not true Marxist states, but rather totalitarian states which had usurped the concept of Marxism to legitimize their authoritarianism. Perhaps a true Marxist state, in which power is in the hands of the workers, has never existed. However, it could also be argued that Marxist ideas can be found within Western society, in such concepts as social security, minimum wage, labor unions, etcetera, but we just don't call them Marxist. Still, the fact is that workers in Western society have more of the rights and protections that Marxism envisions than were ever found in any of the so-called communist states.

Karl Marx was an idiot. Marxism is a Model T Ford in a space age world. It's outmoded, never was practicable, and operates only by brute force.
Read Orwell's Animal Farm for the perfect burlesque of Communism.

Marxism is only relevant because there are still people in this country that believe in this backwards ideology, and the only way to combat their intellectual bankruptcy is to combat it with facts about how marx ignored the thought that man isn't perfectible and that the only thing that keeps humans going is the desire to improve themselves.
Not to mention the Latin American countries that have decided to lean towards marxism in the last few years

You think a revolution of the people takes decades? LOL You're not very smart are you or else you just ask stupid question that show how you don't know any world history. They take centuries to mold and develop to the level of a revolution.
