Well it sounds like you are doing good with how much you put on! I started wearing makeup at 12 and that is exactly what i did. Keep it natural.. use earth tones with a little bit of shimmer in them. You want to enhance your best features, not cover them up with too much make up!! =)

There really is no age limit for makeup. Use it in moderation though. I'd start out with some clear mascara and a light lip gloss. As you get old, progress into a little more here and there. Add a little eye shadow (on the lid) then go to things like blush, doing your eyebrows, and lip liner...Have your mom help you...You'll do just fine.

I believe 12 is still a little too young to be wearing makeup. Although if you are just wearing a minimal amount I think that is fine. Just don't go over board and look like a clown. I can't stand it when women cake on their makeup, especially their eyes with gobs of eyeshadow and clumps of mascara. That is definitely out. The more natural the more beautiful. Just use a little to accent your eyes, light on the cheeks and a nice sheer lipgloss for the lips.

No, I started wearing make-up when I turned 12. And who cares what these people are saying its your life. Its always easier to criticize somebody elses life.
And just to clear things up: Your parents dont need to be slapped in the head. Mascara, Eyeshadow, & Lipgloss is fine.

Yes, that is too young. I was seventeen and my dad still didn't let me wear make-up. But that's too much. I think around 15, 16 is a good age to be allowed to wear make-up. That is when you are considered a young lady, (You know cotillions, and sweet 16's). When you are too young (which you are) it looks funny. Especially if you put too much! My little sister tried it and she looked like a clown. Gloss and glitter is fine for pre-teens. Just have patience and don't follow the crowd, be your own natural, unique you. Don't copy others.

Yes, but with what you say that you're only putting on like mascara, lipgloss, and little eyeshadow... you should be ok then. Make sure the eyeshadow that you are putting on looks natural. You don't want to look all made-up at your age.

Yes. You are way too young to wear make up at the age of 12!! You are still a young kid girl and yeah.
You still have the naturalness and glow of your skin with you- why makeup then?! Mkae is good on those people who are aged, old, or middle aged or when soemone has to impress others and at some function. But you are still a kid of 12 yrs old. So, no!
:-) Take care.

definitely too young. make-up makes your skin age faster than it really should because of all the chemicals in it. the earlier you start wearing make-up, the earlier you get skin problems. besides the trend these days is that "no make up natural look". what better way to achieve that than to actually have it without doing anything right?
but if you insist on wearing make-up, then go for lip and cheek tints. they're liquid with a hint of color (usually dark pink). you can dab it on your lips and cheeks and spread it with your fingers. it creates that "blushed" look without overdoing it.
you can also use clear mascara for your eyelashes and to groom your eyebrows.

Practice wearing it but be subtle at first. Lip gloss with color is good to start with. I also suggest cover up if you have acne and a little bit of powder to set it.
Anything else might not be flattering on your young face. You don't want makeup to overpower your features.
