My boyfriend and I broke up ten months ago. We had been living together for a year and half. We had seriously talked about marriage and looked at rings before. It was a mutual decision because we were having problems but I know that both of us still loved each other. He started dating someone else two months later which I thought was a rebound. My dad died 6 months after we broke so my ex wanted to see me because he felt bad. He told me that he still had feelings for me and that there was no passion in his new relationship, which was still going on, and he never wanted to have sex with her. I asked him to come back and he said no because if it didn't work before it wouldn't work now. He said he tried to talk to me about the problems before we broke up. I don't remember but I tend sometimes ignore problems and hope they will go away. I told him I still loved him and was ready to work on things. He said no. He proposed to her six weeks later. I want him back! What can I do?

Kanga said exactly what I was going to say.

All he said to you was a major conflict with his actions. Either he lied or he is settling for what he has. Either way, leave him alone. He already gave you an answer. It is time to move on and end that chapter in your life. Don't mess with someone else's man. If he is unhappy, he has to fix that problem himself.

If you want to try to "stop" him from getting married. All it will seem to do is cause more issue's. The old saying goes, what comes around, goes around. If you mess with him and he does give in to it. That shows he is also weak enough to do the same thing back to you.

If he is that unhappy but still going to go through with it, then let him fall and make his own mistake.

Get some self esteem and some self worth to not take someone back like that.

Even though you broke up with your tendancy to put things off like that, doesn't mean you should take him back when he will come back or put yourself in tempation situations.

You can still love him but still move on. Always have a special place in your heart and that is ok to do.

But him proposing 6 weeks later means something and only thing to do is accept it.

He probably wanted to know if you had changed or was ready to deal with problems... you probably proved otherwise thats what may have caused his decision to move on...

Let him know how you feel... what happends after that is entirely up to him.. but you never know and wont know until you comunicate to him... otherwise, you'll live your entire life wondering what if..

Look, he just plainly doesn't want you. All that remains for you to do is to let him live his own chosen life and to go and find yours. It would be a futile effort for you to keep nagging him about coming back. It's over !!!

Move on with your life. Either he lied to you, and he loves her (why else would he propose?) or he's a moron who would propose without love. Either way, you're definitely better off without him.

"My best Friends Wedding!"
You cant stop him from marrying her.
If you succeed,he wont marry her.Neither would he marry you.He proposing her means not cos he broke up with u,but cos he really loves the girl.He is atleast firm on his decision, whether good or bad.

Nothing. Get over it. You've lost him. Next time pay attention when someone is talking to you.

ok, you know the part in the ceremony when the priest says " if anyone objects to this union let them speak now or forever hold their peace", thats when you jump up and scream "i object, i love you and always will, please don't marry her"

thats your chance
