I assume that you mean the skin and not the joints. If the skin is so dry as to crack, then mild oils such as cocoa butter might relieve it. I would suggest change dish detergent as they can be very harsh, and wear rubber gloves for washing dishes or clothes. While it is not so common, there are fungal infections that respond to griseofulvin or similar fungistats. For cracking joints, this is fluid/air in the joint capsule and is not easily treatable. It is my impression that you have a fungal infection of the skin but I have some bad news, skin infections are difficult to treat and the therapy is hit or miss...so doctors try this and then they try that. You can try the oil, or sulfur with salicylic acid solution, vinegar or even creams or lotions for athelete's foot. However you must continue whatever you decide on for about two weeks to give it enough time to work.

At 3.00 a bottle it is economical to use/try WALGREEN'S
Medicated Hand Lotion.
It is clear, has camphor and ammonia smell, but just for few seconds.
Actually it IS camphor and ammonia....but works on my hands that get sore red spots and will crack open. I cannot clean with anything due to it.
Gee....I don't even have to do the dishes...haha

I use to know someone who had that. It was an effect of crones disease.
I am not saying you have that, but best to read about it and make sure.

the skin cracking? or the joints going 'pop'?
If the latter, and its not painful, dont worry. Quite normal, mine have done it for years.
