in a short form
Centrino means a power saving technology used in the mobile processors Pentium M and Celeron M, known as Speedstep technology where the CPU speed (frequency) can be reduced by up to 40% in case the processor runs in idle mode.
the difference between Pentium M and Celeron M is clock speed, L2 cache size and FSB speed.
Pentium M: 1.6 - 2.26GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 533MHz FSB
Celeron M: 1.5 - 1.7GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB
both are based on the same core (Dothan).

Centrino: Marketing hype from Intel. Has an Intel Mobile Pentium CPU and and Intel wireless NIC. Save some money and get the cheaper Broadcom NIC. There's NO advantage to the more expensive Intel NIC.
Celeron: Intel's entry-level CPU. Adequate for basic computing. Cheaper than the Pentium line. There is also a low power version for laptops.
Pentium: Intel's main line of CPUs. Higher computing capacity. More appropriate for gaming or computationally intensive activities such as high-end graphics, etc. Limited use in laptops due to heat and high power consumption.
Pentium Mobile or Pentium M: Intel's line of low-power CPUs, primarily used in laptops. You trade some computing power for better battery life and less heat. They are seeing some use in blade servers to conserve power.

ok, Celeron from what i hear is cheaper made, all i know is its slower, and less reliable, but as far as like the P4 Processors go, well i have a Dual Core, So its not so slow, and works all the time, when it comes to computers you get what u pay for. If your more of gaming not ready for the dual core price though go with an AMD
