My partner told me on tuesday that it was over between us. I have just gone through a major heart op and he has been tking over all of my resposnsibilities. We rowed due to a confession i made but he agreed i did the right thing by telling him. He has been there for me 100%. I personally think he is exhausted from recent events with me and was looking for a row. Should i just give him space to calm down and rest or accept its over. We were fine up until the row but i do think he is finding it hard to cope and was just looking for an excuse to have a row. Any suggestions??

The confession was to do with a fling a had with one of the rugby players in the local pub team he has just signed up with to start playing with. I dint want him to find out from him as i know this man is a womaniser and my partner would confess the same to me to avoid future embarassment.

If it was before you met him, I think he will get over it. I think he might just need an emotional break. Give it a few weeks so he has time to miss you. Then call him and tell him you love him and you want to work things out. He will come back if he loves you.

You haven't told us what that confession was. How can we possibly put ourselves in his place when we don't know?
All I can say is that clearly this will have been a stressful time for the two of you and one part of him will have wanted to run away. In that case, you might want to give it time and talk to him. But without knowing what you told him, I can't really say.

Well, if you've gone through so much, then maybe he just needs a break, and hopefully things will work out, but try not to get your hopes up, you never know, it may really be over. I would give him a little time, and try talking to him again.

Maybe he cant cope anymore and just needs space... give him some time... after that, if it doesnt work out then you have got to accept that its over.

you just underwent a major heart operation, huh.?
that alone is a major life change for you.
are you under stress over this?
after heart surgery?
here's what you have to do.
ask yourself if you are better off with him
or without him.
if you want it to be over
it's over.
or
make him make up his mind.
give him a 24 hour ultimatum.
he's in or out.
stick with your decision and don't mourn over it.
and move on!
Good luck
