I feel it's a disgrace, if they put as much time and effort into working as they do trying to get re-elected or going on vacation maybe this country would be in a lot better shape! :)

I don't know if thats true, but i feel fine about it.
These people are serving their country, doing what they think is best.
Public servants are always underpaid. There is not one of these guys that could not work as a CEO, making over $2 million salary, and another few million bonus.
Shut up, and accept they are not overpaid.
oh, and they work a lot longer, harder and under more pressure than any CEO.
A lot of people hate politicans, and thats sad, because they are so misinformed.
Bush makes just over 400,000 a year in salary. So 2,100 a day is not the US government salary, i think for congress its like 170,000 or something.

It's tough getting a job as a Congressman/woman -- so I'd say they deserve it. Wanna make their pay? Start a campaign and run for Congress.

Pretty sad isnt it. Most people dont make that in a month. My nephew gets out of the service this week. Unemployment for him will be $582.00 a week, so of course he doesnt want to get a job. Hell I wouldnt either.
