Most Hated Team: Toronto Maple Leafs! ( all-money, all hype, no substance...Yet dominate Canadian TV Coverage...every season - despite the fact - They Suck! ...Bigger Market = Bigger Advertising Bucks! )
Most Hated Player: Sean Avery ( Bertuzzi is a great player, despite what he did...Many Fans hate him, but the NHL Players Respect him!...He plays tough, that's his game...There have been many, many more violent attacks that didn't produce such a horrible injury...and, therefore, never caught the media attention. )

Toronto Maple Leafs are probably the most hated team, for reasons already mentioned and because in recent years they have had a lot of cheap shot artists playing for them.
Most hated player by the players? Active I'd have to go for Darcy Tucker, cheapest of the cheap shotters on the Buds (although it seems pretty clear that no one likes playing with Eric Lindros and when your own team mates can't stand you that says a lot). All-time? Ulf Samuelsson was a dirty player who ended many a career (Cam Neely?) but I think over all Bobby Clarke was dirtier.

Bryan Marchment is the most hated player for his career threatening knee on knee hits. The guy is a complete moron. Players see him coming and they have to worry about what he's going to do next.
All time most hated: Ulf Samuelsson or Claude Lemeiux
Most hated team today: Tough one, but I'd have to say Atlanta

Flyers or Toronto- Chris Neil, Matt Barnaby( Back when he played with Buff) Bertuzzi, Domi, Tucker, And i'd even say Peter Forsberg. If you watched him play against the Sabres in the playoffs he was the dirtiest player on the ice.

by the fans.. probably anyone who isn't a Red Wings fan..
as for player, too bad Claude Lemieux isn't playing anymore.. so I would likely have to agree with a previous poster that Sean Avery is probabaly the one most hate to play against, followed by Todd Bertuzzi and then Donald Brashear
