I read today that South Africa is going to put up a Space Agency. Do you know how much that is going to cost them? My real question is why don't they feed those poor babies that are dying everyday. They have wars that they won;t try to stop. They have people dying in the streets from starvation, no education for the people. All the money the world sends them , they use it for SPACE AGENCY. I can't believe this....I think of all the things thats been happening in the world today....this one takes the cake. This is unbelievable...my heart aches for those people...no one cares. All these Leaders of the world makes face by saying 'We are sending aid to Africa...but the same amount of people dying 20 years ago...and still dying today. Why hasn't anyone stepped in and made sure these people are getting what they need.We send money to the Crooks in the Goverment and they take it and feed themselves. I believe it's because we can get nothing in return .... what a shame.....

It doesn't matter to me if they are a separate nation...they are the same people... on the same continent, they have people dying just miles away....

I agree with you, they are committing genocide in africa and the world looks the other way.The blood of the innocent will be on their hands on judgement day! Governments realizing that the African government isn't spending the aid money to feed the people should stop sending the aid.Their government has plenty of money they just don't care about their people.To them,that is their way of population control,just like the law of the jungle,those too weak,too old,too young,too sick will die. So very sad

You are confusing South Africa with other nations in Africa. South Africa is acutally a very modern country that does not have the starvation problems caused by the Socialist governments of some of the surrounding countries. see the link for more info.

Hi there, that is government, to me it is like that all over, they do what is best for the country in their eyes and do not really take note of things that need to be done and what will make there country a better place. There are a lot of people that care for others around them, it is just that they are not important enough to get the recognition for what they do to try and make the country of South Africa a better place.

It's entirely possible that Africa does the same thing as local, state and federal agencies do in this country: Money is placed in one budget that is not transferrable to another budget. So if the budget account for food and medical provisions runs out for the year 2006, but the budget for space travel or congressional vacations is fat, then food and service waits for the next year's funding. Of course this is only one of the crazy reasons that government provides us for logical questions such as yours;

U said the amount of people dying 20yrs ago are the same today. The number has doubled and is still increasing daily. What's happening is a subject of concern to all and i believe African leaders would change for better in due course.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. Politics is a dirty game that people play not for the interest of those they serve, but for their own.
That`s the real world for us...
