You are charged with aiding and abetting a criminal in the flight from a crime scene.

Your defense wil be you had no idea what was going on.

Their contention is that you knew and were a look out. If they can turn your friends then you will be charged with aiding and abetting in the commission of a breaking and entering and burglary. In other word, you are facing the same crime that your friends were.

Get a lawyer.

They may have already turned on you to get so low a penalty.

Your mistake was in getting in the car with them. Don't compound it by taking this lightly.

Not being the driver doesn't mean you're innocent. You could have tried to stop them or simply have walked away. Staying makes you an accessory to the crime and guilty. A $150 fine and community service is nothing, make good on it. Then get some new friends.

Yes - you had a moral obligation to prevent the act. You and your friends should pay restitution to the church (paying back whatever it takes to repair whatever damage you caused), the court (for whatever time and cost incurred as a result of the prosecution of the crimes) and as penance, spend time or additional money to repair the damage that others have caused where the culprits weren't caught.

The sentence for the 2 juveniles is too little. $150 each won't likely pay for the court's time, let alone the damage they caused (even split 6 ways!).

Hang around with a better crowd. You should have an attorney, hopefully you won't serve any jail time this tme, but will have some sort of felony conviction on your adult record. Will stay with you for life. I woulda got out of the car and walked away. Can always call ma for a ride. Guess she is real proud of you now.

I'm sorry but you haven't said what exactly your part in the break in was... were you the look out? Did you go in? Did you sit in the car? Did you try to stop these idiots? I need more to go on to answer this properly.
