Movie 'Rockstar'. Who was singing for real?

Question

I know Mark W. wasn't really singing. before I give my answer in the bet I have, I'd like to run thru Answers. Anyone know who it was and if he belonged to a certain band. $10 in if for me!!!!!

A group called "Steel Dragon" is featured heavily on the soundtrack (6 out of the 14 songs). The only name I dont recognize on the cd is Trevor Rabin (last song).

The lead singer of the group is Bobby Beers played by Jason Flemyng:

According to the story line he's (Mark's character Cole)called in to replace the real Bobby Beers:

So is it possible that Jason Flemyng did the vocals and Mark lip synced it? Possible as Marky was rap at the time and I really dont see him pulling off hard rock.

Since Mark Wahlberg can sing, it was my understanding that he did his own singing. Seems I recall that subject way back when the movie was made. It was on like Inside Edition, that news magazine thats on every afternoon.

He did do his own singing. He was in Marky Mark and the funky Bunch
