Here's some simple remedies you can use right at home. For cool compresses to reduce the puffiness underneath your eyes, you can use tea bags, potato slices or the old standby, cucumber slices. For a quick fix, try placing two spoons in the freezer for 10-15 minutes and position them over your eyes while you relax.

A concealer can do wonders to hide dark circles or puffiness under your eyes. Choose a color that is just one shade lighter than your skin tone. If you go too light, you'll bring more attention to the problem area. Pat your concealer on first and blend it in so it looks natural. Then apply your foundation and set it with a light dusting of loose powder.

There are many eye treatment creams on the market today that are formulated specifically to reduce dark circles and/or bags underneath your eyes. Hopefully, the first one you try will provide some relief to this common problem. If you don't try any, you'll never know.

Drink plenty of water and get some good sleep, i used to have really bad dark circles under my eyes and after a day of drinking only water there was MAJOR improvement. I still dont get atleast 8 hours of sleep and my eyes are good now, so i dont think sleep matters. Just drink plenty of water and your dark circles should be basicly gone within a week.

Preparation H is for swelling, not dark coloration. The circles are caused by lack of sleep, or lack of oxygen in your blood, or (like me) because of genetics. I use a good concealer - make sure it matches your skin tone. A cold pack (ice in a cloth) might help, too.

Purchase a gel eye pack.

freeze it and put it over your eyes for thirty minutes before you go to bed (This will help clear out some of the blood from the eye area by closing or making smaller the capillaries in your eyes and around them)

Get AT LEAST eight hours of sleep.
