I had a normal period last month except I didnt have normal cramping. I had light cramping for a week after that. I was late for my period this month, by a couple of days, took a pregnancy test it was negative. Then I started my period, it was light for two days, not normal now it has turned a light brown color on the third day. is that spotting?

It is very common for women who are pregnant to also be on their period. I've heard of girls who have their period throughout the pregnancy. I thinking that that is spotting and you should take a pregnancy test in a few days just to make sure.

The reason why people don't usually have period during pregnancy is because when the egg is fertilised, it attaches itself onto the thick lining of the womb and sends a hormone into the body to stop periods. This might not have happened in your case, or your hormone might not be as strong. But you should definitely take a pregnancy test.

First of all Yes it is possible to be pregnant and have a period. Second, that isnt necessarily spotting. The color has little to do with what spotting actually is. Third, Before you get yourself all worked up you need to ask yourself a few simple questions.
a) Do you want to be pregnant?
b) DId you have unprotected intercourse after your last period and before your period was normally (regularlly) supposed to start?
c) Are you under any kind of stress? at home, work, etc.
Stress causes many unexpected and not normal behaviors in our mental health and as well as our physical health.

Yes, you can have a period and still be pregnant, but if you have taken a few pregnancy tests all with negative results, then you're probably not. Stress can mess up your schedule. If you find out you're pregnant and bleeding at all, you should see a doctor. In some cases everything is fine, sometimes it means something is wrong.

It is possible to be pregnant and have your period at the same time. It is also possible to be pregnant and have a test come out negative. However the last is not really likely. I would retest in a few days to be sure. If you periods are going whacky though you might want to get into a GY just to get it checked out.
Much Peace

It's possible to have regular (Yet lighter) periods during pregnancy. My friend did, and the only reason she knew she was having a baby was when she felt the little bugger kick. :P

You are not likely pregnant, but I would take another pregnancy test to be sure.

IT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO STILL HAVE YOUR PERIOD. YOUR BODY IS JUST DOING WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. IT WOULD EVENTUALLY STOP IF YOUR PREGNANT. IF YOU DONT HAVE A NORMAL PERIOD NEXT MONTH I THINK I WOULD TAKE A NOTHER P TEST
