Stan "the man" Musial. He was the first true "five tool" player. He had a great bat for speed, power and cluth, he could also run and field like the best. It's sad no one sees him as one of the top five players of all time, except us Cardinals fans. He didn't steal a lot of bases, but he had 177 triples in his career to go with 725 doubles (#3 all time). Combine those with his 475 HR and he is number 2 in extra base hits, behind only Hank Aaron. Yes, that means he had more extra base hits than Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Joe D and any other guy you want to name. he won three MVPs, seven batting titles and led the league in just about every positive batting statistic, except HR in his career at one point or another. He appeared in 20 All Star Games and is still #4 on the career hits list. He also ranks #5 in RBI, #9 in runs scored, #11 in walks and #16 in career OPS. I am not saying he is the best player ever, but he is one of the best to play MLB. As a Cardinals fan, he's the guy I would go back to see. If not him, I would like to go back and watch Walter Johnson pitch. There must be a reason The Big Train had 110 shutouts other than the fact he pitched in the Dead Ball Era.

Tough Question,
I think I'd love to see Ted Williams play close up, so he would probably be my first choice. I've always had great admiration for Shoeless Joe Jackson though and would be tempted to go there too.

If I could go back in time I would integrate MLB in 1905 so that the records would be valid to individuals that think like me.

Good question. I would say Babe Ruth because I would ask him if it was weird to go from the Red Sox to the Yankees and then I would ask him do you think the Yankees rock? My prediction is he would say YES because the Yankees DO ROCK!!!!!!!!:-) :-) :-)

The Babe. Hands down. This dude could pitch and he could bat. Plus he is a legend. He was also an interesting character.
