Take a direct flight to San Francisco or Los Angeles. Then take a connecting flight to Costa Rica via any other airline.

Costa Rica is in Central America. Don't get lost before you've even left the ground! =)
I believe Taca Airlines is the Costa Rican Air Carrier.

i think american airlines has a direct flight to dallas, and from there they have direct flights to both airports in costa rica

SR71..it does like 2500 mph, that is the fastest by plane..unless you meantbi-plane..than it would be a Steerman
