In Networking, the word robust is usually used when describing a transport protocol esp. TCP/IP.

Data can still reach its destination with no errors even though some parts of the network is malfunctioning.

In prog. context, robust means it never crashes, freezes, corrupts data. And never breaks in any untoward manner without informing the user and taking appropriate action (degrading gracefully).
