What kind of exercise is effective? I also have big thighs and calfs.... :-(

Leg lifts. And run... don't walk.

even paced distance running (2+ miles) and lunges with holding 10lb weights. always trims the tush for me ...

for abs u hav to do tonz of crunchez an run for ur thighz an jog in place an strech for calves...it workz for me.

ALWAYS stretch before and after exercising
1. reduces injury
2. If you don't stretch, your legs will look muscular, like guy legs and you won't be flexible
