Discriminating against someone based on race, creed, sexual orientation is wrong. Always.
To tell someone they are less of a person because they were born differently then what you term "normal" is 1) Stupid, and 2) Hypocritical.
We are ALL born different. IT is those differences that make this species great. Someone is Gay? GREAT. Someone is Black, Mexican, Chinese? WONDERFUL. Someone is Buddhist, Catholic, Jewish? SUPER!
THESE are what make us a great people. Take our differences away, our right to be homosexual, or heterosexual. Our right to be Buddhist, or Catholic, or Atheist. You take away the heart of humanity.
When you discriminate against other cultures, you aren't just showing hate for them, you are showing hate for the entirety of humanity.

In some ways. It's a very dangerous game saying that any two things are exactly alike. And these two things DEFINITELY have their differences. For starters, with race-based discrimination, you by definition have at least some level of support and understanding from your family of origin. There's also not nearly so much polotics of the closet with racism (though admittedly there was some, mostly among children of interracial families who could "pass"). Might seem like a small thing, but there's LOTS of differences that majorly impact the problems we face and the methods we use to deal with them. There are comparisons that can be drawn, at times, but they aren't exactly the same.

To start I must say that I do not allocate the homosexual/lesbian lifestyle but that doesn’t mean that I support anyone be abused because of their beliefs. I am a Christian and believe in the conventional relationship but that doesn't mean I am going to shove my beliefs down anyone's throat. If they ask, then of course I will share. At times, I think that homosexuals/lesbians instigate discrimination by flaunting their lifestyle. Rather than just living it, they want to be an outspoken activist. This in turn prompts people to react when they may not normally.

people have the right to survive prosper and live without prejudice, governments should not restrict or inhibit a persons life unless it conflicts with our right to survive prosper and live without prejudice.
My fondest memories of childhood are from my auntie taking all the kids fishing.
she did not molest any of us, nor should that be a question, she loved us and got great enjoyment from seeing her nieces and nephews happy. As an adult I see that as the ultimate happiness as well, making children happy.
They are people and as long as they do not hurt other people or destroy lives love them.
Many straight people hurt children as well.
I love my auntie, people would say she is a lesbian, by act that is a part of her.
People always had explainations for her behavior the longest lasting was that the man she loved died as a direct result of the conflict in vietnam.
I think this is where there is a need for pride, because who cares if there was or was not a reason, she is a beautiful person and no one looks for an answer as to why she is a beautiful person.
she just is.
lesbians and gays just are.
I do not want people to repeatedly associate hetero sexual when referring to me and my life.
Gay, asian, black, try just letting a gay person be gay, an asian person is allowed to be asian, a black person is allowed to be black, background and heritage be proud of that and be proud of being a member of the human race.

Yes and no. It is just as wrong, and it is hurtful and un-Christian and un-American. But I have to believe that the discrimination that has been served on African Americans over the last 400 years is far greater than most of us as homosexuals experience. The same, but blacks have suffered far more.

You are right. Please, clarify.
Discrimination is exactly the same for everyone, it is clear and transparent. You cannot see it, but you can; however, FEEL IT.
It can happen to us all, not only minorities but many others in a vast spectrum of uniqueness . Descrimination crosses over hate popularity like a rabbit jumping from one group of people to another. It feels like it hurts us in many more ways than most could possibly see.
Colors, sexes, ages, races; you; you should be able to decide who you want to love. Why do you need to ask? We still need 98 million more peoples permission to love someone under our government .

It's a baseless prejudice whose foundation is the fear and ignorance inherent to those who are too lazy and small-minded to accept that a person is a person is a person, so yes, it's almost exactly the same as racism, ageism and whatever else.

No, because Blacks Europeans and Asians can't change their heritage. A homosexual may not be able to change who they are attracted to but they do not HAVE to have sex. Yeah giving up sex is a bummer... but it's true, ya wont die without it.
