An emo is todays version of the 80's dark sider. also called goths, freaks, whiny teenagers

All the people I know that consider themselves emo pretend to be sad and depressed all the time. Maybe they're not being true to what being emo really is. Its short for emotional but I don't fully understand what being emo truly entails.
