im a sophmore in highschool and let me give you some advise. dont wier any of your new clothes on the first day of school. its really gay.
i know you might really really want to but the truth is if you wier all your new clothes the first week no one will even notice and they might be really cute. wait a week and then start wiering them and youll be getting tons of comments from your friends. 6th graders always try way to hard. trust me no body cares what you look like anyway by the time you get into 7th grade youll realize how pathetic all the new incoming 6th graders are. this is how it is in highschool too once you become a freshman. haha o ya and also. you are way too young to be on here. hun dont talk to strangers.

I think the outfit depends on the impression you wanna give.
It's not only the first day outfit that matters, but the first week or so.

If you want to have that punkish look, wear black, maybe with jeans and A LOT of accessories.

If you want that preppy look, wear a mini jean skirt and a cute top, or a screen tee. You should probably wear flip flops too.

If you want the "normal kid" look, wear a screen tee and jeans.
You should wear tennis shoes with the outfit. I think a good shoe brand to wear is converse.

What you wear, WILL affect what people think of you on the first day, so choose wisely!

I'm going in to seventh grade, and I remember thinkin the same thing. I wore a long long long tank (go to old navy and they are prolly in the first part, theyre really in style, or go to an urban outfitters that have them with thin straps (not really spaghetti straps)) under a limited too white shirt that has a collar, a white and black polka dot tie, and a guitar shaped zipper thing (cant find the picture on ltd.com sorry) and plaid gouchos, i made alot of friends because they liked my outfit. I also wore some white flipflops with it. Hope I helped!

Besides, it sounds like you're making too big a deal of this anyway. It's sixth grade, just have fun. In a couple years (maybe even months) you won't remember those insignificant little things like what you wore on a certain day.

hey! im going into highschool this year and i have to say im going to wear my TaG jeans i got em at macy's at a realy good price! normally 240$ and i got them for 120$! great price! and i am also going to wear a blue tube top. have you gone shopping yet for school clothes? here is some advice, dont wear the best outfit the first day cuz the rest of the week is when all the guys r going to get to know you... (if u know what i mean)... try shopping like the closet, macy, bloomingdales, or even pac sun, they have alot of clothes, but it depends on you're style (don't be skanky trust me you'll be know as like the shcool's whore)... btw you wanna be friends?

A cute pair of sandals and above the knee shorts, but not too short that your butt cheeks hang out. And a cute tank. Accessorize too. Get a good necklace that you like. Go for the look like your relaxed and not nervous about school or anything, but not trashy. Also depends on where you live.

You'll look pretty stylish for your age and I would suggest you wear sum colored hoop earrings try clairs for that.

Something casual you dont want to seem too nerdy by wearing something formal (i made that mistake).
But you dont want anything that is too... loose. Dont wear anything that you wouldnt usually wear. Wear something that you wear every day, because itll give ppl the RIGTH impression of how you dress. If you wear anything you dont like or dont normally wear, people wont see you as YOU.
And it is important to wear something you r comfortable with, its not ****, its the truth. It'll let you get through the day without worrying about what you're wearing. You will have enough to worry about!
