Depends on the person, I'm gay and have been in that the same relationship for six years. My friend is straight and he is with a different girl every weekend. so it really depends on the person.

Promiscuity is an individual trait, you cannot brand a particular sexually orientated group as more or less promiscious. Homosexuals are usually more openly sexual which may be mistaken for promiscuity by a more sexually prudish heterosexual. Although I find many gay women are less sexually overt, but more emotionally sensitive than some straight women. I don't think that we can classify groups as promiscuous. However, I think that most straight guys wish that they were more promiscuous than they really are.

i agree with the person who said it depend on the person, but we homosexuals are rarely in a circumstance where we can be promiscuous. i mean you heard more often than not about cheating husbands and wives, rather than cheating boyfriends or girlfriends or boyfriends or girlfriends. I not saying it doesn't happen, nor am i saying it's a good thing, or they're not all painful, but we do hear more bout divorces based on "extraciricular activities", and since a large portion of homosexuals are unable to be wed, i would place my money on heterosexuals being more promiscuous,

Ha. Who told you that a promiscous hetersexual is unheard of? You don't watch much TV or read many papers.

Men in general tend to be more promiscuous than women, perhaps because they can't get pregnant, or because most women tend to strive for longer term relationships. Gay men have had the reputation for being promiscuous because they talk about sex more, and because they are talked about more.

But WE are not that different from THEM. It's not how often we have sex, only the gender of the persons whith whom we have it.

Yeah heterosexual promiscuity is defintely known but is defintely the lesser evil compared to being a sodomite.

No, offense meant to all the Gay, Lesbians and Transgendered people out here, but get a 50,000 volt reality check...

All of you were not born that way....you decided on what you wanted to become because of your environment and whatever circumstance you had while growing up. Your genetics determines who you are, if you can't accept that, then all of you are fooling yourselves and are truly living a lie.

Bottom line "Use it or lose it."

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Promiscuous heterosexuals unheard of?!

Try going to straight clubs. It's like a bunch of fourteen-year-old* girls on one side and a bunch of eighteen-year-old boys on the other and one by one they pair off and get pregnant and spend my tax money on cigarettes, cannabis and White Lightning (cheap and dodgy cider) and let their children get out of hand.

Promiscuity is by no means a gay-only thing. And monogamy is by no means a straight-only thing. I'm gay and I've been with my boyfriend for seven years. We're getting married this winter and we each have every intention of staying together for ever.

*Okay, slight exaggeration, but they're always too young to be there.

On average, gay men have far more sexual partners than their straight counterparts. So to answer your question, I'd have to say yes, homosexuals (at least males) are more promiscuous. I think bi males are a little less promiscuous than gay males too.
