Depends on the clinic's facilities, I have worked at two. At one we had "wet scrub" treatment tables right outside the surgical suite where we would anesthetize, scrub & shave the animals, then transfer them to surgery. Another clinic did it all in the surgical suite.

I guess it would depend on the practice, but where I used to volunteer, it was in the surgical suite.
