This all depends on your perspective on things.
#1 -----From my perspective President Bush and company are evangelical christians who want to see the second cumming of Christ , Armageddon and the end times prophesies fulfilled.

To think that kidnapping 2 " SOLDIERS !" would start a war is just plan stupid.

They are soldiers duh !. Soldiers should expect such things.
Maybe it would have been better if the soldiers where killed out right. After all they are soldiers and soldiers live by the sword ...

What is not being said in the USA is that the Israelis started this by kidnapping a doctor and family along with many others over time.

From a different perspective
The planet is only so big and there is only so much room.
All of you fornicating people keep fornicating making more fornicating people when are all of you fornicating people going to realize that the planet is not getting any bigger.
There is only so much room and only so much resouces so we fight over limited resouces because we are greedy, stupid, arrogant jerks who do not want to have fair trade with our neighbors for things we do not have.

Make no doubt about it Israel is the bully here and not Hezbollah who are a small time semi local gang of thugs while Israel are big time thugs

#2b or 1b
God (if it exists) does not seem to want to stop any of these fornicating people from killing each other, He!! he may even be enjoying the show for all I know. HE ,SHE, IT , has never stopped any wars in the past and certainly has been the center reason for many wars in the past ( back to # 1 )

a Third perspective :
Israel and the USA are a bunch of bullies and jerks and Israel has a long history of being a jerk.
It wasn't driven from the land because they got along with there neighbors they were driven out because they were jerks.

When the British decided to give Palestine to the Israelis the Israelis did not want to negotiate with the then current occupants of the land the Palestinians. They , with the help of the USA, drove the Palestinians form their homes and farms and the conflict only expanded.
THe Arab neighbors basically said that ' Hay these Palestinians were good neighbors for some time and they deserve to be treated decently'
The USA and the Israelis basically said F U

- There is a shortage of land, and each country keeps trying to expand.
- Some countries are oil rich, which attracts foreign countries to want to buy or take their oil. People agree or disagree with this, making conflict
- Some countries use their funds to buy weapons. This creates tension for other countries
- Religious fanaticism is common in many of these countries, hence holy wars and religious conflict also enters into the equation.
- Basically the Middle East is a complex area, full of tensions, and balancing on decisions made my politicians and religious leaders locally and abroad.

1. hezb Allah tried to free the 10000 prisoners Israel is holding by kidnapping to Israeli soldiers, so Israel declared war on Lebanon (the home of hezb Allah).

2. USA doesn't want Saddam Hussein anymore, so declared war on Iraq and occupied it.

3. Israel is occupying Palestine, and the Palestinians are trying to take it back with no weapons but themselves, so Israel is bombing their shelters and homes.

4. USA is trying to involve Syria and Iran in the Lebanon-Israel war to get rid of all what they call terrorists.

Iraq is on the brink of civil war because the U.S. stuck its nose where it doesn't belong.

Israel is attacking Lebanon because of something one group of people in that country did.

i don't think that we, the outsiders, can find a simple and reasonable explanation for what's going on there. it's a long and complicated story that goes on for ages and things get fired up every once in a while.
